Purple Chalcedony Botryoidal Cluster

This stunning grape Agate is a relatively new find. Although the trade name is Grape Agate, this rock specimen is actually Botryoidal Purple Chalcedony. Botryoidal means that round, tiny sphere-shaped crystals have naturally formed together. Chalcedony has a waxy luster and may be semitransparent or translucent.  This specimen has a more violet to green hue.

Origin: Indonesia

Approximate Measurements: 11 inches long and 7 inches in width.
