Handmade Sterling Silver Wrapped Turquoise Necklace

This is a handmade Sterling silver-wrapped turquoise necklace. The turquoise pendant is beautifully wrapped with Sterling Silver wire in Arizona by a man named Scott McNeely. The chain is Sterling Silver as well and is adjustable.

Turquoise has a hardness of 5-6 and is a copper aluminum phosphate mineral. Turquoise's gorgeous bright blue color is caused by the copper that is found in it. Its name "turquoise" came from the French Pierre turquoise, which means a Turkish stone. This stone is one of the oldest stones around. There have been turquoise beads found in Iraq that date all the way back to 5000 B.C.

Measurements: This Sterling Silver chain is 20 inches and adjustable. The turquoise pendant is 36mm long and 20mm wide.

Cleaning Instruction: You can clean the Sterling Silver with a polishing cloth or jewelry cleaner that is for Sterling Silver. You can use a damp soft cloth on the pendant, then pat dry.
